Each year, one of our favorite traditions at The Kline Corbett Group is hosting our Annual Ice Cream Social at the iconic Jigger Shop in Mount Gretna. This event is much more than an opportunity to enjoy great ice cream on a summer evening. It is our chance to bring together clients, friends, neighbors, and members of the community to celebrate the relationships that make our business so special.
As a real estate team, we have the privilege of helping people through some of life’s biggest milestones. Whether buying a first home, selling a longtime family property, or finding the perfect place for a new chapter, every transaction begins and ends with relationships. We have always believed that our business is about people first and real estate second.
That is why events like our Ice Cream Social mean so much to us.
We were incredibly grateful to welcome so many familiar faces to this year’s gathering. Seeing past clients reconnect, meeting new members of the community, and spending time with friends and families reminded us how fortunate we are to serve such an incredible area. The support we receive from our clients and community members is something we never take for granted, and we are thankful for every relationship we have built along the way.
There could not be a more fitting location for this event than Mount Gretna.
Mount Gretna is a historic Pennsylvania summer community that began in the late 1800s as a wooded retreat connected to the railroad and nearby iron industry, and it soon developed into a Chautauqua inspired destination focused on education, arts, recreation, and community life.

In 1892, the Pennsylvania Chautauqua was established, bringing lectures, performances, and cultural programming that helped shape the community’s identity as a place for learning and connection in a natural setting.
Over time, Conewago Lake became a central gathering place for swimming and recreation, while tree lined streets filled with cottages created a distinctive small town atmosphere that has been carefully preserved for generations.
Institutions like Gretna Theatre, which evolved from early Chautauqua performances into a professional summer theater, continue to carry forward the area’s cultural traditions.
Today, Mount Gretna remains a rare and cherished community where history, nature, and summer traditions still come together in a way that feels both timeless and deeply rooted in Pennsylvania heritage.
The Jigger Shop is one of Mount Gretna’s most iconic landmarks and has been a beloved summer tradition for generations, known for its nostalgic charm, wraparound porch seating, and classic walk up ice cream counter that captures the feel of a simpler time.

Family owned and deeply rooted in the community, it has long been a gathering place where locals and visitors alike come together after days at the lake, the theatre, or walking through the wooded streets of the Chautauqua.
The menu is a true throwback to old fashioned soda fountain favorites, featuring hand dipped ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, floats, and signature treats that have become part of countless family traditions.
Beyond the food itself, what makes the Jigger Shop so special is its history dating back over a century in Mount Gretna, serving as a social hub where summer evenings naturally slow down and conversations linger a little longer under the trees.
Another cornerstone of the Mount Gretna experience is the historic Gretna Theatre…The theatre’s roots date back to the original Chautauqua Auditorium built in 1892, and professional theater productions have been performed on the site since 1927.

Today, Gretna Theatre continues to bring outstanding live performances and cultural experiences to the community, preserving a tradition that has entertained audiences for nearly a century.
What makes Mount Gretna truly special is not just its history, attractions, or beautiful setting. It is the sense of community that has endured for generations. From the Chautauqua movement and Campmeeting traditions to the lake, theatre, art shows, and local businesses, Mount Gretna has always been a place where people come together.
That spirit of connection is exactly why we chose this location for our annual client appreciation event.
At The Kline Corbett Group, we understand that our success is built entirely on the trust and support of our clients, friends, family, and community partners. Every referral, every introduction, every conversation, and every opportunity to help someone with their real estate goals means the world to us.

To everyone who joined us at this year’s Ice Cream Social, thank you. Your support, friendship, and loyalty continue to inspire us every day. We are proud to serve Lancaster County and the surrounding communities, and we look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate together.
We are already looking forward to next year’s gathering at the Jigger Shop and continuing this tradition of bringing people together in one of Pennsylvania’s most treasured communities.
From all of us at The Kline Corbett Group, thank you for being part of our story.
