Being an Ephrata local, I love to decorate my front porch for fall, especially right before the fair. We are so fortunate to have so many different farm stands around here that we have a variety of different decor to choose from, as you can see here. I really enjoy using a variety of colors. So as you can see, this is actually called Purple Feather. It’s a dark purple grass, and I kind of elevated that with a hay bale.
And then I decided to make a medium level with the mum. And we have tons of different colored mums around here, so I like bringing some of the cooler colors in with the warmer colors of fall. And then I got a variety of pumpkins and gourds and different squashes, and I like to just center them around it and just make them look like they’re spilling out. So it shows the abundance of fall and the harvest. It’s one of my favorite things to do.
We love to sit out here and watch our friends and neighbors walk by during the week and when they come up to visit, hopefully they’ll feel welcomed and feel like they can enjoy some time up here with us.
